Ixelles's cemetery

If you don’t know what to do on any night of the week, you can always go to what is known as the Ixelles’s cemetery. It’s a very nice neighbourhood with a lot of restaurants and bars. It’s better to go there with a friend if you want to go to one of the restaurants, but in bars, people are talkative enough to make you have a great time.

Close to the Ixelles’s cemetery, you have the ULB, the Free University of Brussels. Therefore, you always have a lot of students around and there are a lot of activities in the nieghbourhood during the day and in the evening. For example, once a year there is a big volley-ball tournament. Also once a year, you have the famous “Nocturne de l’ULB”. You always have a lot of fun there. If you really want to immerge yourself in the ULB student’s life, try to attend a TD one night. These students evening take place at the Jefke, on the Campus de la Plaine. There’s a TD every day from Monday till Thursday, except during the exams. It starts at 10:00 pm and ends at 4:00 am. The admission fee is 2,50€ before 23:00 pm and 4€ after. It’s a lot of fun and you can meet a lot of people. When they hear that you speak English, everyone will start to talk in English with you!

Ixelles’s cemetery is a student neighbourhood, there is always something going on, and it’s very lively! Have fun!
