Flea Market at Jeu de Balle Brussels
If you're in Brussels with nothing to do on a Saturday or Sunday morning, If you are keen on peculiarity antiques or garage sale hunting, you should definitely check out the antique market at Jeu de Balle.I would suggest you going early rather than when they are packing up, and don't be afraid to haggle! About half of the vendors are locals - pleasant and easy to deal with. Most vendors will figure out that you speak English and will be able to communicate with you. However, If you ask the price of something, the vendor frequently has to make one or two calls on his cell phone and discuss the situation with an unknown party in a third language. Beware - it is a game!
Prices are fair and quality is mixed.
It's a little known area of Brussels and worth checking out to see the wide diversity there and find some really neat, inexpensive and unique keepsakes from your trip to Brussels. It's a place where you can learn a lot about worldwide cultures mirrored in these objets.
It's open every day from 7am-2pm.
...Lose yourself in thousands of weird things and many different people!!!
